CompTIA ChannelCon 2024 Recap
We had the pleasure of exhibiting at ChannelCon by CompTIA, held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2024. Here’s a detailed recap of our experience:
Day 1: Setting Up and Diving In
Our team arrived early on the first day, eager to set up our booth. The setup process went smoothly, and we were impressed by the event’s organization. The delicious catered food in the hall was a delightful start to our day, fueling us as we prepared for the busy evening ahead. We took some time to explore the various presentations focused on technology and AI. These sessions were incredibly insightful, providing us with fresh perspectives and ideas.
As the exhibition opened that evening, our booth quickly became a hotspot. It was so busy for the two of us at the booth that we were glad we brought in some entertainment options for those who were waiting to talk to us. We had a touch-screen quiz where attendees could test their IT knowledge and see how they would handle help desk scenarios. Many found it challenging to beat Alga!
Attendees were excited to see live demos of Alga, our AI ticketing assistant for PSA platforms. It was fascinating to interact with people from diverse areas of IT, including education IT professionals, heads of MSPs, consultants, and more. Our plushie giveaway was a hit, with an entire box of our famous purple octopus swag gone by the end of the day!
Day 2: Continued Excitement and Networking
The second day was just as exhilarating. We spent several hours during exhibition hours meeting attendees, demonstrating Alga’s capabilities, and discussing how our product can benefit their businesses. The enthusiasm from the attendees was contagious, and we handed out countless brochures and business cards.
Our purple octopus plushies became a conference sensation, drawing even more people to our table. Many attendees mentioned they were collecting them for their kids or pets. In between demos, we stopped over to the snacks table for some treats provided by CompTIA - the chocolate chip cookies and lemon bites were phenomenal.
The evening was a memorable highlight, as CompTIA hosted a fantastic party at the Georgia Aquarium. It was a unique experience to mingle with other vendors and attendees while enjoying dinner, drinks, and music. The dolphin show was a standout moment, providing a wonderful end to a busy day.
Day 3: Wrapping Up and Swag Swapping
We started the third day with renewed energy, ready to meet the last wave of attendees. Exhibiting just after lunchtime gave us the chance to engage with everyone who wanted to learn more about Alga and these purple plushies they’d seen floating around.
In the final minutes of the event, we participated in the obligatory swag swap with other vendors. This was a fun and friendly way to conclude our time at ChannelCon. We traded our plushies for an array of cool items, including hats, t-shirts, pens, notebooks, stickers, bags, socks, and even portable pet bowls!
As we packed up our booth and prepared to head back to Clearwater, Florida, we reflected on the incredible connections we made and the valuable insights we gained. ChannelCon was a fantastic opportunity to immerse ourselves in the MSP/IT community, understand their pain points, and showcase how our AI tools can help.
Looking Forward
Overall, ChannelCon was a tremendous success for us. We thoroughly enjoyed making new connections, engaging with the IT community, and sharing our passion for innovation. We’re already looking forward to the next conference.
