Dive Into Alga PSA V 1.0.0 — Release Candidate-1: The Big Launch Preview

You know that feeling you had as a kid when a new video game, toy, or comic came out? And if you were lucky enough to get your hands on it, you’d stay up, covers over your head, exploring every detail and imagining what comes next. That same level of excitement is what Nine Minds aims to deliver in our 1.0.0 Alga PSA Release Candidate-1. Feeling ready to transition out of our Early Release stage, 1.0.0 RC-1 represents a platform that’s been shaped by real MSP workflows, feedback, and months of focused dedication and integrations. Where foundations become confident workflows—Alga PSA is the system you can build and rely on. Here’s why we feel ready to move to our official release:

Shape Your Automation 

Automation should excite you, make you feel empowered, and reflect how your business operates. Not make you look, shrug your shoulders, and put the features back on the shelf. In this release, we’ve expanded our Automation Hub to give MSPs power, control, and flexibility (very Elastigirl energy). You can now edit workflows, templates, and explore event catalogs, making it easier to level up your automation and adapt your tools as processes evolve. Whether you’re automating repetitive actions or standardizing operational steps across teams, this release gives you the sidekick you need.

Billing Across Borders

Billing accuracy and clarity are critical power-ups for MSP operations.  In 1.0.0 RC-1, billing gets a meaningful upgrade, adding the ability to resume the contract wizard from a draft, so you can pick up exactly where you left off. Together with our previous purchase order limit feature, multi-currency support, plus global tax configuration, these updates bring billing closer to a seamless, automated experience.

The Groundwork for SLAs

In our previous release we included due dates, so you can quickly see what needs attention and when. This first phase of SLA capabilities puts the controller in your hands so you can decide on how to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and keep client requests on track. It lays the foundation for more advanced SLA tracking and future feature upgrades. Just as video games and new editions of a favorite toy develop with user feedback, Alga PSA’s upcoming SLA enhancements will be shaped by your input.

Version 1.0.0 RC-1 also strengthens everyday ticket workflows with improvements like ticket bundling, allowing related issues to be grouped together for clearer visibility and more efficient resolution, quality-of-life upgrades like an additional ticket parameter: "Waiting for response", and an additional tickets section, “materials”, with multi-currency pricing and per-currency totals.

Project Task Visibility & Search

Every heroic team needs lightning-fast navigation, and RC-1 delivers meaningful upgrades to project workflows. Teams can now filter tasks by agent or primary agent, making it easier to track ownership and balance workloads. A new laser-focused keyword search bar and collapsible phases side panel within projects also lets you instantly find tasks and related work, keeping teams focused on execution. These updates remove friction from everyday project management.

Stability and Platform Safeguards

Keeping the platform solid is just as important as adding new features. Behind the scenes, 1.0.0 RC-1 adds safeguards that keep performance strong as MSP teams assemble and grow.

Internal modularity upgrades lay the groundwork for faster iteration, cleaner feature expansion, and more reliable long-term scalability, and previously improved session handling, visibility, and onboarding flows keep everything running smoothly. 

We’re Not Done Yet

Alga PSA v1.0.0 RC-1 isn’t the finish line. It’s the starting point of a PSA that’s ready to shake things up in the industry–officially. This release candidate is our invitation to the community to test, explore, and help us polish the final release. From here, we’ll continue smoothing things out and aligning with our goal of building Alga PSA to defend the MSP community against the villains of clunky, outdated, and expensive systems.
